Let us consider how to inspire each other to greater love and to righteous deeds,
not forgetting to gather as a community, as some have forgotten,
but encouraging each other, especially as
the day of His return approaches.
Hebrews 10:24-25 —The Voice

A Time to Think … “You know, intentional encouragement has a Michelangelo impact on people. The sculptor saw the figure of David within the marble and carved it out. The encourager does the same. He sees your best self and he calls it out, not with a chisel, but with words of affirmation.” ―Max Lucado, Pastor, Theologian & Author

A Time to Act … Affirmation is something we all crave, to know we’ve done it right or good or pleasing to another. But if we don’t affirm others who crave the same thing we do, we lose the encouragement that affirmation gives and our cravings become that of anger and bitterness. So be intentional every day as you interact with anyone—they just may need encouraging words of affirmation and don’t be surprised when you do this and find an “affirmation for yourself!”

A Time to Pray… Dear Jesus, your life is an encouragement to me every day as I contemplate on your love and grace, and your ultimate life-giving death and resurrection that gives me hope for today and eternity. Help me to live in such a way that I can encourage others as well. In your name I pray, AMEN.
