“There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish.
But what good is that with this huge crowd?”
“Tell everyone to sit down,” Jesus said.
So they all sat down on the grassy slopes.
(The men alone numbered about 5,000.)

A Time to Think … “The reality is, God often uses the people who seemingly don’t count to provide the ingredients for miracles.”  ―Christine Caine, Author, Bible Teacher, Founder of A21 Anti-trafficking Outreach

A Time to Act … When you’re thinking that your life is just mundane, and has little impact, remember the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000+ — he did it through a young boy and simple bread and fish. What you think is mundane can become the preparation ground for his miracles. Your seemingly insignificant contribution can end up having a huge impact. You, and what you have, matter!

A Time to Pray… O Lord, why is it so easy to fall into a pit of “I don’t matter much to anyone?” I know these are the lies of the enemy and not from you. Fill me anew with the power of your Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see the gifts you have given me, and give me the confidence of knowing I matter to you and to others as well. In your name I ask it, AMEN.
