 A Time to Act… In the turn of the calendar we are now in Year 2023. Reach out to God and share your deepest thoughts as you look forward into January. No matter what is going on in your life, God is with you and proved that in sending Jesus whose birthday we just celebrated. If the upcoming year has you pausing, wondering, or worrying, remember that our calendar is just a piece of paper, a travelogue we check off day by day. With God, time is no problem, for God holds time in his hands. Rest in that goodness and power and celebrate the gift of God for another year! 

A Time to Pray… O Lord, here we go, stepping into a New Year, where it seems Covid, flu and all kinds of problems go with us. Help me to remember that you step-into-my-life daily. You don’t need a calendar because my days have been appointed by you. Holy Spirit, implant that into my mind and my heart and help me embrace this power of God. I don’t know what roadblocks are coming in this New Year, but I will trust in God my Savior, AMEN.
