A Time to Act… As we look forward to Thanksgiving Day coming up on Thursday, may it be one of gratitude and praise. Football is always fun, but in our spiritual life it gets us NOWHERE. Keep your Thanksgiving for what God wants it to be: a time of thanks, a time to praise God for the harvest…and a time to remember that while we are eating, many others are not.

A Time to Pray… O God, we have a few days until we celebrate the wonderful holiday of Thanksgiving. Help us to focus on what that means despite sports, perfect turkeys and family squabbles. This day was set aside for thankfulness. May we embrace that more than anything else going on, AMEN.
