“Though sin is shown to be wide and deep,
thank God his grace is wider and deeper still!”

-Romans 5:20 [PHILLIPS]

A Time to Think… Each day seems to bring a new way for us to wander off course. The Christian life is not difficult; it’s impossible. Need proof? Just look around you and take a look at your own life. The antidote-Grace! -Rev. Max Lucado, preacher and author

A Time to Act… Remember that old song, “I wonder as I wander?” Often used at Christmas it has a meaning for us daily. Who hasn’t wandered off-course and found themselves in a deep hole? Yes, the Christian life is tough but we have a God greater than anything. Who do we turn elsewhere? Easy—our greed, control, want-over-needs—fill in your own. Yet, we have a God who never leaves us! Instead, our God laces us with grace—even when we don’t deserve it and that is the definition of grace. Got a sin-problem? Don’t look left, right, backwards or upwards—just go forward and run into God’s embrace and be showered with God’s grace!

A Time to Pray… O Lord, our God, our Savior and our constant Holy Spirit companion, help us to stop wandering where we get off-course and get in trouble. Help us to grasp something we cannot hold in our hands, but something that You give us—abounding and amazing grace. Your grace is never-ending and help us to run to it with abandon! AMEN.
