“…for our sake he made the sinless one a victim for sin,
so that in him we might become the uprightness of God .”
-2 Corinthians 5:21 [NRSV]

A Time to Think… “The absolute religious genius of Jesus is that he utterly refuses all debt codes, purity codes, religious quarantines, and the searching for sinners. He refuses the very starting point of historic religions. He refuses to divide the world into the pure and the impure, much to the chagrin of almost everybody—then and now .”  ―Fr. Richard Rohr, Center for Action and Contemplation

A Time to Act…  OK, self, when I awake tomorrow and realize I have another day to breathe in and out, to put one foot in front of the other, I know it’s gonna’ be a good day and I will praise my Lord and walk beside him this day and do my very best to do this every day.  (Cyndy Warnier attributes this to her father, Roy Snyder, who said these words every morning and they are now imprinted on her heart, too!)

A Time to Pray… O Jesus, your love is so profound that it amazes me my sin doesn’t shock you and send me packing. I want to love like you do, precious Savior, teach me how. Let your Holy Spirit have its way with me, that I may shed my prejudice, my judgmentalism, and my unbelief, so I can live in the love you have given me and share that love with others. Only in your strength can I do this and in your powerful name I ask it, AMEN.
