A Time to Think…

A Time to Act…
When you think of Christmas do you think of it as a holiday or the gift that gives you eternal life? There is a huge difference between both of these thoughts and we do well to choose the real reason for this holiday—Jesus Christ, who came to save us by dying for us. No one wants to talk about that, but it is the center of Christmas and thank God it is!

A Time to Pray… 

Almighty God, thank you for sending your Son to save us from our sins. It is so easy to get wrapped up in the twinkling lights, pretty packages, parties, and festivities, but in the middle of all that is Jesus—calling us to love and care for each other not just at Christmas but every day. In the middle of that is Jesus giving us unconditional grace which we don’t deserve but His love is greater. May this be my Christmas package this year—the love of my Savior and Redeemer, and may I take this gift right into the New Year of 2024. AMEN.
