“Not long after Jesus was born, magi, wise men or seers from the East, made their way
from the East to Jerusalem. These wise men made inquiries. The star they had first seen in
the East reappeared—a miracle that, of course, overjoyed and enraptured the wise men.
The star led them to the house where Jesus lay; and as soon as the wise men arrived,
they saw Him with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him.
They unpacked their satchels and gave Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.”

-Matthew 21:1, 9-11 [Voice]

A Time to Think…
“The giving of gifts is not something man invented. God started the giving spree when He gave a gift beyond words, the unspeakable gift of His Son. -Robert Flatt, Rice adjunct professor, Photographer, writer and Christian deacon

A Time to Act…
What gifts are you giving this year? What gifts would you like to receive? Christmas is a time of giving, but it isn’t about presents under the tree, it is the gift of love, joy, hope and peace and the greatest gift of all, Jesus—whose gift for us is eternal life. Nothing can top it!

A Time to Pray…
O Jesus, Precious Christ Child and Savior for all humankind, help me to remember what this Christmas season is all about—your love for each and every one of us and your gift of sacrifice on the cross so we can be with you forever and ever, AMEN.
