“The Eternal God placed the newly made man in the
garden of Eden in order to work the ground and care for it.”
-Genesis 2:15 [Voice]

A Time to Think… “Work becomes worship when you dedicate it to God and perform it with an awareness of His presence.” ―Rev. Rick Warren, Harvest Ministries

A Time to Act… Whether you are still punching the clock or retired, you will get up today to do some kind of task and that is work! How you approach those tasks—menial or important—requires your full attention, right? Use this tip: God has given you these tasks, so your job is an essential part of your spiritual growth. Whatever you do you do it for the Lord and when you think about it that way, each task has a deeper and special meaning!

A Time to Pray… O Lord, there are some tasks I just do not like, yet if I don’t accomplish them, then I know those “undone” things will undo me! Help me to realize the gifts you have given me to accomplish so many things—even the ones I’d rather not do. It is in your strength and the encouragement of the Holy Spirit that keeps me “on task” and delights my heart. Thank you, Lord, I love you so much, AMEN.
