We all talk about “our calling” in life, some believe it is their vocation, others continue to search for the meaning. For me, it has always been linked to God and where or what God is calling me to do, see, or act upon. I’ve always loved medicine, and I’m a musician, and then I felt God’s call to ministry so there are days I’m thinking I’m the “real 3M” – no disrespect to the company, but a life of medicine, music and ministry is pretty cool. But more than that, I think it is one’s passion that helps us understand our calling. I am passionate about people and their lives and I am passionate about this planet that God has given us to live in. So being a camphost is perfect: people and the great outdoors and all the creatures that inhabit it. Think about your passion, what is it, how does it drive you, or are still waiting? Or worse, have you put your passion on a box on a high shelf thinking “this will never happen.” I have some “friends” that always remind me that life “isn’t for sitting still” – it’s for living and because of God’s abundance of us that’s what we need to do. So, here’s a few pictures of my friends … and they never sit still!
