“Say no to wrong.
Learn to do good.
Work for justice.
Help the down-and-out.
Stand up for the homeless.
Go to bat for the defenseless.”
-Isaiah 1: 16-17 [the Message]

A Time to Think … “It’s a wonderful thing to restore art or dilapidated houses, but it is a holy thing to restore human dignity. When we join hands with God’s, justice finds oxygen, and oppression hides in the corner.” ―Rev. Max Lucado

A Time to Act … Max Lucado offers us these words for today: “The day is coming when God will forever balance the scales of justice. The glory of the new kingdom will be hallmarked by prosperity and justice. Until then, let’s partner with him in the pursuit of what is right. When you stand up for the downtrodden, justice has a chance, and Satan has a fit.” Why not start aligning yourself with God right now!

A Time to Pray… O God my Lord, my Savior, as we approach our Christmas holiday, give us the strength to look at the lost, the lonely, the homeless, the downtrodden people who need our help. Instead of flashy gifts that break our budget, may we be faithful with the finances you have given us to help those with none. In the power of your Holy Spirit speak to our selfishness, and light a fire in our heart to share the Gospel in not only what we say but in what we do, AMEN.
