“The aim of this is for you all to be like-minded,
sympathetic and loving to one another,
tender-hearted and humble.
Don’t repay evil for evil,
or slander for slander,
but rather say a blessing.
This is what you were called to,
so that you may inherit a blessing.”
-1 Peter 3:8-9 NTE

A Time to Think… “Fellowship is a kind of belonging that isn’t based on our status, our achievement, or gender, but instead is based on a deep belief that everyone matters, everyone is welcome, and everyone is loved, no conditions, no exceptions.” ―Brian McLaren, The Center for Action and Contemplation

A Time to Act… Ask yourself what kind of fellowship are you practicing and do you have fellowship in your life? Perhaps you are missing out on the people God is putting in your life because they don’t seem like you or think like you? Remind yourself that God’s unconditional love is also for you and for all. Don’t shy away from those you don’t know or understand; instead, let God lead you to new friendships and new ways to share and receive God’s incredible love!

A Time to Pray… O God, it is so easy to be complacent, to look only for what feels good to me or fits my style, yet I know deep inside that is not what you desire of me. Again, I ask for a new focus as I see other people—a new lens that beckons me to be a friend, to share encouragement and your love. I know I cannot do this on my own, but in your strength, O God, I can do this. Lead me on Lord, I will follow, AMEN.
