“If you find any comfort from being in the Anointed, if His love brings you some encouragement, if you experience true companionship with the Spirit, if His tenderness and mercy fill your heart; then, brothers and sisters, here is one thing that would complete my joy—come together as one in mind and spirit and purpose, sharing in the same love.” -Philippians 2:1-2

A Time to Think…
“Cultural differences should not separate us from each other, but rather cultural diversity brings a collective strength that can benefit all of humanity.” -Robert Alan, writer, community outreach for bringing cultural differences together

A Time to Act…
Today is Cinco de Mayo, a celebration from the late 1800’s where the Mexican people pushed back France who wanted to take over their country. To this day, many of our people in America came from Mexico and America has embraced the celebration with the joy of cultural learning and the friendship of humanity. Take this as a reminder that no matter what your ethnicity is, we are all God’s children and color and race makes no difference. So come together, enjoy a taco or enchilada and show the love to our wonderful Mexican people!

A Time to Pray…
O Lord, in our society today it seems as if each ethnicity is under a microscope and many want those of another ethnicity to leave our country. Help us to understand that you created this entire world and every person on it; that you love all kinds of colors, foods, and ideas. May we embrace this diversity and love one another through it. AMEN.
