“Since we have such a [glorious] hope and confident expectation, we speak with great courage.” -1 Corinthians 3:12 [AMP]
A Time to Act…
“The word advent means “expectation.” What advent can do for us is create a sense of hope.” -Louie Giglio, Pastor, Author, Communicator, Composer
A Time to Think…
O Lord, I do not know what will happen on this day but I’m hoping that my expectations are filled with hope and strength to get through today and this holiday season. Everyone is expecting something and if they don’t get it they’re not happy. Please stop me from doing that and give me a gentle reminder that Christmas is about you and you only.
A Time to Pray…
O Jesus, here we are waiting with expectations for Christmas but sadly it isn’t about you, but more about gifts and decorations. I want to focus on you, and all that you brought to us on the first Christmas. That gift of hope continues with me always. Help me to remember that in this season of Advent. AMEN.
