“When we were utterly helpless,
Christ came at just the right time
and died for us sinners.”
-Romans 5:6 [NLT]

A Time to Think… “Spread out your petition before God, and then say, “Thy will, not mine, be done.” The sweetest lesson I have learned in God’s school is to let the Lord choose for me.” ―D.L. Moody, (1837-1899) Evangelist, Revivalist, Founder of Moody Bible Institute & Publishing House

A Time to Act… When Jesus wept and prayed at Gethsemane, he gave up himself to God’s will completely, saying “not my will but yours, Father” and on the next day we call Good Friday, he died a horrible death. But in that death was life for us! He surrendered to God so we could be with God for eternity. Good Friday for us was indeed good-forever.

A Time to Pray… O Jesus, my precious Savior, on this Good Friday I cannot help but weep because your awful death was all about my sins. You gave up your will for me and I am forever grateful. Help me to give up my stubborn will that you may instill in me a deep faith that is strong no matter what circumstances come into my life. I love you Jesus, AMEN.
