“And friends, once that’s taken care of and we’re no longer accusing or condemning ourselves, we’re bold and free before God! We’re able to stretch our hands out and receive what we asked for because we’re doing what he said, doing what pleases him. Again, this is God’s command: to believe in his personally named Son, Jesus Christ. He told us to love each other, in line with the original command. As we keep his commands, we live deeply and surely in him, and he lives in us. And this is how we experience his deep and abiding presence in us: by the Spirit he gave us.” -1 John 3:22-24 [MSG]

A Time to Think…
“We shall come one day to a heaven where we shall gratefully know that God’s great refusals were sometimes the true answers to our truest prayer.” -P. T. Forsyth, writer, teacher, Scottish Protestant theologian

A Time to Act…
Whose hands will you put yourself today? A friend, family member, the news, your pastor, Facebook, etc? You might find comfort but you will miss the wisdom you need. Put your life in God’s hands. There is no other best place to be!

A Time to Pray…
Dear Lord, help me to realize my wisdom emerges as I accept and integrate all that has happened to me through your perfect filter. It is so easy to turn to others, who may have my best intentions, but only you, Lord, know me through and through. You told me if I abide in you then you will abide in me. Abide in me today and every day, my loving Lord and Savior. AMEN.
