“We also pray that you will be strengthened
with all his glorious power
so you will have all the endurance
and patience you need.
May you be filled with joy!”

-Colossian 1:11 [NLT]

A Time to Think… “Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself.” ―Saint Francis de Sales, Bishop of Geneva, noted for his deep faith and his gentle approach to the religious divisions in his land during the Reformation

A Time to Act… Trying to be patient with ourselves by ourselves is like trying to lift ourselves into the air by pulling on our shoelaces. We need to grow in God’s strength and power, not our own. Forgive yourself when you fail with patience, and keep on going, God will get you through.

A Time to Pray… O Father, help me to be patient with myself when I stumble. Give me the courage I need to continue on my life’s journey with you by my side. Help me to have self care so I can care for others. And when I get down and rail at myself, pick me up and remind me that I am your chosen and beloved child. O my God, I love you, I need you, and I am grateful you are always there for me, AMEN.
