A Time to Act… So we slip from Christmas to looking forward to our New Year celebrations. Perhaps today is the time to sit a while and, like Mary, ponder your Christmas this year, what touched your heart, what did you get and want did you miss out getting? No matter your celebration, be assured of one thing: nothing is ever too soon or too late that is done in God’s perfect timing! 

A Time to Pray… O Jesus, loving Savior, because of You, we meet every expectation and more in our Christmas celebration, yet we often feel something is missing. Perhaps we were alone, or a loved one was no longer with us—there are so many emotions that can take our joy and hope to sad situations. As we go forward into year 2023, help us keep our focus on your blessings, so hope may reign in our hearts and joy will never be extinguished. In Your powerful name—Immanuel, we ask it, AMEN.
