Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune
with each other—in step with each other.
None of this going off and doing your own thing.
And cultivate thankfulness.
Let the Word of Christ—the Message,
have the run of the house.
Give it plenty of room in your lives.
Instruct and direct one another using good common sense.
And sing, sing your hearts out to God!
Let every detail in your lives—words, actions,
whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus,
thanking God the Father every step of the way. ”
-Colossians 3:15-17 [Message]

A Time to Think… “We need never shout across the spaces to an absent God. He is nearer than our own soul, closer than our most secret thought. ―A.W. Tozer, pastor and author

A Time to Act… Who or what is the first thing you think of when you arise in the morning? A great idea is to count your blessings first, giving you a day to begin with optimism for that day. Make it a part of your evening and morning spiritual exercise, your soul will be stronger and your mind will not drift to things that want to give you a pessimistic outlook.

A Time to Pray… O Lord, help me to see the blessings that might come from the difficulties I wrestle with each day. Remind me to not wrestle with these problems on my own strength, but to trust in you and know that you are taking care of this, filling my thoughts with your wisdom and my heart with your grace. In your name I pray, AMEN.
