“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our troubles,
so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the
comfort we ourselves have received from God.
For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives,
so also through Christ our comfort overflows.”
—II Corinthians 1:3-5 NIV

A Time to Think … “Faith is realizing that I am useful to God not in spite of my scars but because of them.”  ―Pamela Reeve, Author

A Time to Act … Remember that your scars are proof that God heals! Do not look at them with disdain, instead look at them as healed and you are stronger because of what you have come through. Remind yourself when those scars bother you that Jesus bears your scars of sin and redeemed you…just look at the scars on his hands and feet and his side. You are healed child of God, your scars are your badge not your shame.

A Time to Pray… O Jesus my Redeemer, the scars you have because of me remind me that I can conquer all things, and that healing is possible through your power and resurrection. You have made me strong despite my weakness, and I forever want to live for you now and in eternity. Thank you for your grace and love, AMEN.
