Veteran’s Day
Tomorrow is Veterans Day so on this Monday, think about these wonderful people who have put their lives on the line for you and me and around the globe. Think about this: For people who have been through a lot in life, nothing comes closer to bringing them messages of love, comfort, or gratitude than God’s Word. This is particularly true when we think of our nation’s veterans. These veterans served the country; they sacrificed much more than we can imagine. A significant portion of their lives may have been spent away from home and their loved ones. They sacrificed much out of loyalty, service, and selflessness for their people and their country.

As we commemorate Veterans Day on the 11th day of the 11th month of the year, we hear the words from Scripture for our veterans that can help them to experience God’s love and our love for them and God’s promises for healing them from physical and emotional damage long after their service is over

John 15:12-13 [NLT] “This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Jeremiah 30:17 [NLT] “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord.”

Jeremiah 17:14 [CSB] “Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed.”

We Pray For Our Veterans
Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad. Defend them day by day with your heavenly grace. Strengthen them in their trials and temptations. Give them courage to face the perils which beset them and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
