“My presence will travel with you,
and I will give you rest.”
-Exodus 33:14 The Voice
A Time to Think… “We are commanded to stop (literally)…rest, relax, let go, and make time for Him. The scene is one of stillness and quietness, listening and waiting before Him.” ―Rev. Charles Swindoll
A Time to Act… We yearn for those holidays where we can take a break from work, but perhaps we need a better break and take a ‘holiday from our lives!’ Release yourself of your goals and to-do lists and don’t feel guilty doing it. Watch the sunrise or sunset, the starry skies or falling rain or snow—just get out of your daily routine and embrace the goodness of God in all things. It is in the quiet of this you will regenerate body, soul and mind.
A Time to Pray… O Lord, in times of silence and rest, guide me with Your infinite creativity and wisdom. Break up my routine and send me on an adventure with You. Fill my heart, soul and mind with beauty and encouragement—hope for another day and joy in living each day. In you I can shut out the noise of the world and be content. AMEN.
