“Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are too little to be among the family groups of Judah. But from you One will come who will rule for Me in Israel. His coming was planned long ago, from the beginning.” -Micah 5:2 [NLV]
A Time to Act…
“This Advent we look to the Wise Men to teach us where to focus our attention. We set our sights on things above, where God is. We draw closer to Jesus. When our Advent journey ends, and we reach the place where Jesus resides in Bethlehem, may we, like the Wise Men, fall on our knees and adore him as our true and only King.” -Mark Zimmerman, editor of the Catholic Standard
A Time to Think…
Our last Advent uplift is a reminder where our focus needs to be during Advent and into Christmas. Let’s set our sights on Baby Jesus first. The presents, good food, trees and decorations are wonderful but not even close compared to Jesus!
A Time to Pray…
O Jesus, precious Savior who came to our earth to save me from myself, help me to find calm before Christmas Day. Help me to rejoice tomorrow night on Christmas Eve with singing and honoring you. As I look into the nativity, may I be filled with Christmas Hope, Peace, Joy and Love all over again. AMEN.
