“Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless—cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus…” -1 Peter 4:9-11

A Time to Think…
“Hospitality is not about inviting people into our perfect homes, but about inviting them into our imperfect hearts.” -Edie Wadsworth, Physician, speaker, writer, teacher for centered faith

A Time to Act…
If you haven’t arranged your day, try this: create space! Whether that’s time in your busy schedule, a seat to your table or lending your ear for those who need help or encouragement. No matter what you do, make sure to offer someone the gift of feeling welcomed and seen.

A Time to Pray…
Lord, help me to see hospitality not as an obligation, but as an opportunity to reflect Your love. Teach me to open my heart and make space for others, just as You always make space for me. In our difficult and angry world, may my words and actions lift-up those in need. AMEN.
