“Even when the way goes through Death Valley, I’m not afraid when you walk at my side. Your trusty shepherd’s crook makes me feel secure. You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing. Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.” -Psalm 23:4-6 The Message Bible

A Time to Think…
“There is no reason for existential fear because we aren’t alone! God is never apart from us, even in our darkest valleys, and evil will never have the last word. We have a Shepherd who loves sacrificially and unconditionally, and as the arms of the Shepherd embrace us, our fears fall away and we find comfort.” -Pastor Steve Holm

A Time to Act…
Today is another day that we can either find the goodness of the day or wallow in all the problems in our society. No doubt there is a lot to be troubled about in our good but broken world, but we do not need to fear. We walk with our Shepherd Jesus from the mountains to the valleys knowing he is with us all the time.

A Time to Pray…
O Lord, my precious Savior and Friend, help me to remember that I am never alone and that you are always by my side. Blessed as your child, I know that evil cannot hurt me for you are there. Your presence gives me comfort and the strength I need every day in my walk of faith. I love you Jesus, AMEN.
