“With tender humility and quiet patience, always demonstrate gentleness and generous love toward one another, especially toward those who may try your patience.” -Ephesians 4:2 [TPT]
A Time to Think… “Do not try to excuse your faults; try to correct them.” St. John Bosco-educating poor street children, founding the Salesian religious orders, and creating a loving teaching style
A Time to Act… Think about a recent interaction where your pride got in the way. How did you handle it—or did you walk away from it. This is that time you need to make things right. Ask God to help you respond with humility and grace, so your pride will be gone and your heart will be filled with joy instead of your faults.
A Time to Pray… Gracious Lord, teach me to choose humility over pride and kindness over winning. Help me reflect the character of my precious Savior Jesus in every interaction I come upon. May I be tender with patience as I walk my path in this often-hard world. AMEN.
