“Lay aside bitter words, temper tantrums, revenge, profanity, and insults. But instead, be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love.”
-Ephesians 4:31-32 [TPT]

A Time to Think…
“Whenever you are about to find fault with someone, ask yourself the following question: What fault of mine most nearly resembles the one I am about to criticize?”
-Marcus Aurelius, Roman emperor from A.D. 161-180 the last of the rulers later known as the Five Good Emperors

A Time to Act…
Isn’t it so easy to point out a flaw in someone else? Yet, God says to us “how about your flaws—you all have them.” So, before pointing out a flaw in someone else, pause and ask: “Am I offering grace as freely as I want to receive it?” If you don’t know the answer, it’s time for a sit-down with God!

A Time to Pray…
O my precious Lord, I need your help to release my judgment on others and learn to choose kind understanding instead. It can be so hard to do this, but in your strength, I know I can be that person who cares for others. Help me to say words that are uplifting and filled with the grace of God, AMEN.
