“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, are the smallest town in Judah. Your family is almost too small to count, but the “Ruler of Israel” will come from you to rule for me. His beginnings are from ancient times, from long, long ago.” -Micah 5:2 [ERV]
A Time to Think…
“At this Christmas when Christ comes, will He find a warm heart? Mark the season of Advent by loving and serving the others with God’s own love and concern.” -Mother Teresa, Love: A Fruit Always in Season
A Time to Act…
Monday is here–another week by the gift of God. Many folks struggle at this time, some who have lost loved ones or are separated by miles and the daunting task of money for this season. This was never what God wanted us to have at Christmas because we already have all that we need in the gift of his Son, Jesus Christ. Keep that in mind today—it will give you a smile!
A Time to Pray…
O Lord, just getting out for groceries and I see all these decorations and constant money swipe on a credit-card. I know this is not what Christmas is. In this time of Advent, as we wait for your arrival, help me to be steadfast with what is really about this time of the year. It isn’t the tinsel, lights and trees and presents; the present is already here, and that is you my precious Savior. Thank you for coming to me with your love, AMEN.
