“Young people will get tired; strapping young men will stumble and fall. But those who trust in the Eternal One will regain their strength. They will soar on wings as eagles. They will run—never winded, never weary. They will walk—never tired, never faint.” -Isaiah 40:31-31 [Voice]

A Time to Think…
“Perhaps the most damaging conservation problem of all is our collective short-term memory. A bald eagle overhead is a stirring sight. But it’s more. It’s a sign of what we can lose, but also what we have to gain. It is God’s gift to us so we need to get working. Right now.” – Matthew L. Miller, director of science communications for The Nature Conservancy

A Time to Act…
June 20th commemorates the anniversary of the bald eagle’s selection as our national symbol on the Great Seal in 1782. Today, it serves as a reminder of the bald eagle’s status as a conservation success story and celebrates the eagle’s triumphant return from near extinction. May we remember that the eagle represents God and his loving care for us!

A Time to Pray…

O Lord, all your creatures are precious and you have asked us to take care of them. The Bald Eagle is in trouble again because our president wants to take them off the endangered species. We pray that this will not happen so this magnificent bird you created for us and is also a national symbol of our country will continue to fly and flourish. With your help Lord, we know this can happen. AMEN.
