“Through faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God; everything we now see was fashioned from that which is invisible.” -Hebrew 11:3 [The Voice]

A Time to Think…
“If heaven is understood more as God’s space on earth than as an ethereal region apart from the essential reality we know, then what happens on earth matters even more than we think, for the Christian life becomes a continuation of the unfolding work of Jesus, who will one day return to set the world to rights.” -John Meachman. American writer, Canon Historian of the Washington National Cathedral

A Time to Act…
In 1997, Lockheed Martin Corporation created National Space Day as a one-day event. In 2001, due to its extreme popularity, former astronaut and senator John Glenn expanded Space Day to International Space Day. It continues on the first Friday of May. It is a day to look at the skies, whether day or night, and see what the Lord has made for us. So, on May 2, 2025 National Space Day look up to see the Eta Aquariids meteor shower which is very active. Shout out “O God, you did it again, do it again, do it again!”

A Time to Pray…
O God who created all things, your outer space is one we now can see because of the gift of technology. We know we are only glimpsing that vast outer-space, but each color, aura, twinkles and combustion, reminds us of your power and your gift of this beauty for us all. Only you, Lord of All, could create something like this by speaking such things into the cosmos and there they are! Your wonders give me joy and I am so thankful for your love and all that you give me every day. AMEN.
